In late May of 2019 we traveled from opposite sides of the country, Jakob from California and myself from Vermont, to celebrate the wedding of our mutual friends in Pensacola, FL. The last thing we expected we would take home from this weekend celebration was a relationship, let alone a future husband or wife. But as fate stepped in, and so did our friend Emily since I left without giving Jakob my number, we ended up forming a long-distance relationship from across the country and began officially dating in September of 2019. We traveled back and forth every month to visit each other and spent hours on Skype, 597.25 to be exact. The 2020 pandemic proved to be an interesting time to be in a relationship spanning across a country so we decided “why not move to Florida?” In 2020 Jakob and I purchased a home in Palm Bay, FL and soon brought our puppy, Kali, home to join us and our cat Ella. We have enjoyed living the Florida lifestyle and Jakob even refurbished a 1980’s Hobie Catamaran that he later used to propose to me on February 26, 2023. We look forward to celebrating our love story and marriage with you all!
