Our story starts back about 20 years ago at Millstone Middle School and Allentown High School where we went to school together, however, NEVER spoke a word to each other. We actually grew up about 5 minutes away from each other, but have no idea we lived so close since we were never on the same bus. Fast forward to 13 years after Allentown graduation, we re-connected on a dating app called Hinge. Erika had a prompt in her dating profile that said, "I bet you won't... ask me out on a first date." Scott reached out to Erika and said "We'll start talking on a Monday and have our first date by that Friday." And that is exactly what happened. We had our first date on Friday, June 14th, 2019 at River Rock.

On Friday, August 13th (YES! Friday the 13th), we went out for lunch at Tommy’s Tavern in Sea Bright, after work since we both have Summer Friday's. The whole time at lunch, Scott had the ring in his pocket and Erika had NO idea. After lunch, we went to Sandy Hook, "to look for sea glass." This was something we did during the pandemic, but Scott had other plans. We went on top of the observation deck first, where Scott set up the tripod to take pictures. Scott asked Erika to "check the tripod", when she turned around, Scott was on one knee with the MOST beautiful ring. He asked Erika to marry him and I'm sure you are NOT surprised, Erika cried hysterically and asked Scott if he was serious 100 times! Of course she said YES!!!
