We will be having an elopement style ceremony at Cathedral Beach in the heart of the park, and this will be followed by a reception dinner at our cabin in Wawona in the southern part of Yosemite National Park. There is a drive between the ceremony and reception site and limited parking. If you know others attending please drive together so that as many people as possible get parking at the ceremony site.
Yes. Since the wedding and reception is taking place in the park a park pass is mandatory. There are day passes available at the entrance, but if you have an annual national park pass that will also suffice.
Due to the event being in a National Park, the attire is dressy casual or what I am considering "Sunday best." Some examples of this could be suit pants, khaki pants or nice jeans for men and a jumpsuit, dress or nice pants for women. Really whatever you feel your best in is good with us but please avoid white.
The venue for the ceremony and reception site is very limited. Due to this we will specify a plus one on the invitation for those who are able to bring one.
Due to the limited capacity of the venue, the invitations will list the names of the guests invited.
Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. I do recommend bringing an umbrella in case of rain and appropriate layers as it will cool down in the evening.
The average temperature in Yosemite National Park in June is 81 F with still cool low temperatures averaging 51 F. The wedding will be in the late afternoon/evening, so I would prepare for it to cool down.
