Ericka and Garrett met at Catoctin High School in Thurmont, MD in 2011. Garrett graduated in high school in 2012 and attended Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA where he played football and studied business. Ericka was smitten with the college football player, and soon attended Shenandoah to study public health after graduating in 2013. The couple began dating when they were just 17 and 18 years old, in the August of 2012. Their 6 years as a couple has brought countless adventures and laughs, and they have grown in their faith and love together. They are currently both living and working in Winchester, VA and are very excited to start their lives together as Mr. and Mrs. Rohrbaugh!
Garrett proposed to Ericka at the place where their love had grown - Shenandoah University's campus. Shenandoah will always have an important place in this couple's heart! They went to dinner in Winchester, and then Garrett convinced Ericka to go for a walk in the rain through campus to look at the Christmas lights. Sheltering under a gazebo to stay dry, Garrett dropped down on one knee and asked Ericka for her hand. Ericka cried, Garrett waited with bated breath - and of course she couldn't wait to say yes! Their engagement may have been in private, but they are so looking forward to celebrating their wedding with friends and family!
