Myya and Sommyr became friends in college at Dillard University. They had the same interest in quite few things. They both majored in biology and had mostly all of the same classes. They both loved/ love to dance! School connected them but the love and bond created made sisters! The love they have for each other is undeniable! Though they do not stay in the same state they manage to keep the sisterly bond strong! Sommyr was a major part of many accomplishments in Myya’s life. Myya is so grateful and honored to be apart of this beautiful moment in her sister’s life.

My Sommyr! I can’t quite recall our first interaction, but it must have been between 2010 and 2011 in Jackson, MS. Who would have imagined that being adopted into the Hopkins/Nichols family would mean gaining an unexpected big sister? Over the years, our relationship has grown tremendously. We've cried over mistakes, laughed fearlessly, dreamed big, partied until we passed out, and continue to praise God in all things. Sommyr and I also have the privilege of co-parenting our two girls, Gabrielle (Gabby) Samantha and Zoey Olivia! I love you and I’m so happy for you and Eric!!

Jabrieka here! Sommyr and I met back in 2018 when we started working together with the Murrah Sound of Perfection Marching band. Since then, we have been 2 dancing and mentoring peas in a pod. Whenever one of us need each other, we are always there. If anything, I’m grateful for her supportive and encouraging spirit in my life and “the sisterhood we have built together” I am so very proud of her and her accomplishments over the years and honored that she welcomed me into her circle. She’s truly my sister for life.
