Huge park right in the smack middle of SD. Beautiful, old buildings, museums, botanical garden, etc. Lots to see & do here for a day!
One of our favorite places to come with friends. So many different restaurants and little shops. (Our fav is Bencotto!) They also have a Farmers Market & it really comes alive in the evenings & weekends. Parking is a challenge here though, so be warned, taking an Uber or Lyft would be my suggestion.
Kylie used to work right down here at the Hard Rock Hotel. 5th Street is always very active, great for people watching. Tons of restaurants & bars. Super fun on a Friday or Saturday night! Oh and make sure to take your iconic picture of the Gaslamp sign!
This is where Eric works, at a restaurant called Herringbone. La Jolla Cove is a little quieter of a place but it's fun to window shop at all the boutiques, grab a yummy coffee at The Neighborhood, go see & listen to the seals/sea lions bath in the sun on the rocks. If you have a chance, go visit the La Jolla Sea Caves. You can go walk down into them or kayak out from the La Jolla Shores Beach. Really fun & we highly recommend!
The Hotel Del Coronado is the iconic hotel in every picture you pretty much see when you google San Diego. There is a lot of history to Coronado, active military (sometimes you can catch the Navy Seals practicing on The Strand, beach), really fun to walk around for a day. The big blue bridge is also a thrill to drive over. If you're scared of heights, don't look!
Authentic Mexican food...warm, fresh tortillas, delicious margaritas, need I say more?!
Mission Beach is home to Belmont Park. This is the only real boardwalk experience here...ride the rollercoaster, eat a funnel cake & some ice cream, play some games at the arcade.
Walk up & down the boardwalk here, PB is one of our favorites. Sunshine and a cold beer at each place we visit...it's the perfect Sunday afternoon that we enjoy together frequently. Definitely stop at Baja Beach Cafe for a fishbowl margarita!
This is where we got our engagements pictures done. This place is awesome for a relaxing daytime picnic, the cliffs & beach make it incredibly romantic. Amazing for some SD pictures!
This is the golf course I used to work at. It's pretty open, fairly easy to get a good score and you cannot beat the views!!
There is a bunch of really cool little wineries out in Temecula. If you do happen to visit, make sure to go eat at The Goat & Vine (downtown Temecula)...so incredibly good!
Eric says everyone must go here & get the Firebird sandwich, you won't be disappointed. (My go-to is the Señor Croque) One of our favorite restaurants...good atmosphere, delicious food!
Fish Tacos, enough said! This is my go-to place for amazing SD style fish tacos. Try them, you won't regret!
Tried & true California burritos. Yum!!
