Katie and Eric met in the depths of COVID when masks were required and city curfews were in place. Just like the Delta wave, their love grew exponentially as they got to know each other over facetime and phone calls. Their first date was at Terrestrial Brewing Company in Cleveland's unique Battery Park neighborhood. Eric fondly remembers Katie walking through the door and seeing the most beautiful women he had ever laid eyes on. From that moment on, their love story was written in hazy IPAs, laughter, and good food. Their love grew through the last two years of Katie's medical training. In between ICU shifts, they traveled back and forth to see each other, with an eager excitment for their next date. Katie introduced Eric to long walks around Edgewater Park, Cleveland's food and brewery scene, and her roofdeck overlooking Lake Erie -- while Eric shared his love of cooking, outdoor adventure, and biking. In the depths of long ICU shifts and COVID isolation, Katie and Eric priortizied Thursdays as date nights despite whatever else was going on! Their adventures continued with 8 national parks, 4 mountain summits, endless walks, and many miles cycled around Northeast Ohio. On November 19th, 2022, Eric decided to take a leap for their greatest adventure yet and proposed to Katie at Edgewater Beach in Cleveland.
