Question

Why can't I park at the farm?

Answer

We respectfully ask that you use the shuttles as a safe and efficient way to get to and from the farm. While we understand that it adds a step to the day, we can assure you that it will be convenient and easy. Safety is our first priority and this will ensure everyone's safety.

Question

How soon should I RSVP?

Answer

Please respond as soon as you are able. We will have table assignments, so the earlier you can RSVP, the better!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Shuttles will begin picking guests up at 3:00 pm, at the Holiday Inn, the AmericInn, and the park and ride across from the Holiday Inn. You are welcome to arrive at the farm any time after 3:00 pm. We will have some yard games available, or feel free to just wander around and take in the beauty of Our Family Farm. The ceremony will begin at 4:30.

Question

Why did you choose the farm as your wedding location?

Answer

Auggie-M Acres, named after Kate's great-grandfather, August Fessler, is a very special place to our family. For me (Kate), besides the fond memories of being here with Grandpa Bob and Grandma Marie, our daughter Hannah and son-in-law Tyler were married here in October of 2021, which makes this even more special. Now our grandson Tucker is the 6th generation to be a part of the history here. For Eric, as a longtime friend of the Fessler family, he lived in the farmhouse and acted as caretaker for a number of years. His knowledge of "old farm equipment" and enjoyment in cutting the lawn was an asset to the family. It took a lot of convincing a few years ago to get him to move "into town"! Luckily, we were able to purchase the land directly across from the farm, to start building our dream home "back in the country", where we've both always wanted to live. If you look closely enough, you can see the driveway (along with the other excavation that's been done), and if you close your eyes, you can probably picture that beautiful A-frame with a covered deck and walkout basement built into the hill. I know we can! Anyway, back to the farm... The third generation maintains the farm, including tending to the lawn, the barns, and the beautiful gardens. Honey is collected from the bees, hundreds of gallons of sap is collected each year to make maple syrup, and a bountiful harvest of vegetables and fruits feeds multiple generations of our family. To say the third gen has green thumbs is an understatement! So that's why we love it so much here. It truly is a magical place. We welcome you and hope you can take some time to appreciate the serenity and the changing colors of fall with us, as well as enjoy some of the Farm-to-Table offerings on our wedding day. We can't wait to see you!
