Flight

JFK International Airport

NYC has several airports but this will be the easiest for out of town guests without a car. At JFK, take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station from which you can transfer to LIRR to ride the Ronkonkoma-line train to Deer Park station. Additionally you can connect to the NYC Subway at Jamaica. Car rentals are also readily available.

Flight

LaGuardia Airport

While LaGuardia has good flights it does not have mass transit. Flying into here will likely mean an Uber out to Long Island or NYC. Car rentals are also readily available.

Train

Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)

To get out to Long Island the LIRR is the best option. For those traveling from JFK directly to Long Island, take the JFK AirTrain to Jamaica station and then transfer to the LIRR Ronkonkoma line. Ride the train to Deer Park station. You'll need a separate LIRR ticket. For those coming from NYC the main LIRR hub is at Penn Station, directly underneath Madison Square Garden. Take the LIRR Ronkonkoma line to Deer Park station.

MacArthur Airport

This is the closest airport by distance. You can sometimes find a decent flight but there are never direct flights from outside the Northeast. Care rentals are also readily available.
