Candice grew up as a small town girl from Dixon and Eric was a city boy living in San Francisco. A dating app helped their paths to cross and brought them together in August of 2018. Eric and Candice matched when he was driving through Dixon on his way to an annual golf tournament in July. It took a few weeks of casual conversation for them to finally meet. They arranged to meet for dinner at Arguello in the Presidio of San Francisco for their first date. They had an immediate connection and were surprised at how much they had in common. They both did not want the date to end so Eric spontaneously suggested they go bowling which gave them the opportunity to show their competitive side 😊. After their date, they both realized they shared a special connection and they have been inseparable since. Eric planned to propose to Candice after she completed her thesis for her Master’s program. He wanted the proposal to take place on a hot air balloon in Napa, but COVID happened and plans had to change. On April 1st, he took Candice on a beautiful hike in the East Bay foothills near Danville. Candice was excited to enjoy the fresh air after being quarantined for nearly a month. After hiking a few miles, they approached a perfect spot in a beautiful meadow. Eric got down on one knee and asked Candice to marry him. She was so surprised, and of course, she said YES! It was absolute perfection.
