We met on a dating website and had our first date in Gilbert at Liberty Market. Our first date was 5 hours and Erica woke up the next morning thinking "I have found the one whom my soul loves." We did long distance for two months and then Corey moved to AZ to date Erica in person at the end of April. We were engaged on 6/30/23.

Erica had just gotten back to AZ from Italy and was severely jet lagged. Corey asked Erica on a date. At dinner Erica said she was nervous because she thought Corey was going to propose that night and Corey patted his pockets and said "My pockets are empty." On our way home, Corey made an unexpected turn into the zoo parking lot in Phoenix near Papago Mountains and Erica said, "you can't get to the freeway from here". Corey said "we aren't going home yet." Corey and Erica went out on a dock overlooking a small lake and an orange sky and Corey professed his love for Erica. Erica sobbed and was overwhelmed by so much joy to be Corey's wife. Corey prayed after Erica said YES and thanked God for the gift of marriage and for His guidance and wisdom on our next steps. May God be glorified through our union. We are both so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Mesa, AZ in November!
