Emmy and Brandt had their first date at Norwood's Restaurant and Treehouse Bar in New Smyrna Beach, FL after connecting through the dating app Bumble. After that night, they started hanging out every weekend, and the rest is history! Chase, Brandt's husky, absolutely adored Emmy, which is all the confirmation Brandt needed that she was the one.

During Memorial Day Weekend, the couple took a day trip to Saint Augustine, FL. After tricking Emmy into walking back to the truck to secretly grab the ring, Brandt walked Emmy to one of the city's love trees. It was under this tree that Brandt had a delighted passerby take a video while he proposed to Emmy. She was shocked and managed to say, "Okay!"
