Sandia Peak Tramway
Located within a couple minutes drive of the venue, the Sandia Tram is the longest aerial tram in the Americas and second longest in the world. The ride lasts about 15 minutes each way and there is a bar and restaurant at the top.
Old Town Albuquerque
Old Town is the original center of Albuquerque, established over 300 years ago. It’s fun to walk around and look at the Adobe buildings and shops here. While in Old Town, make sure to check out the San Felipe de Neri Cathedral and Breaking Bad store.
La Luz Trailhead
Hikers can also climb to the top of the mountain on the La Luz Trail, which starts a few minutes from the venue. This hike is very strenuous and is 7.6 miles one-way with over 3,500 feet of elevation gain. If you don’t feel like hiking down, you can walk a short distance to the tram and restaurant to grab a beer and take the tram down. If you do this, note that the tram will deposit you a couple miles from the La Luz Trailhead so you will need a ride to the trailhead to get your car.
Ghost Ranch
Ghost Ranch is located in one of the most beautiful parts of New Mexico and is where Georgia O’Keefe lived for most of her life. While here, you can enjoy hiking several trails and ride horses. Ghost Ranch is located near the city of Abiquiu, about 90 minutes from Albuquerque. While here, stop at Bode’s for a delicious lunch. Abiquiu Lake is also nearby and is worth checking out.
Santa Fe
Santa Fe is about 45 minutes from Albuquerque and has beautiful art and culture to experience. We recommend parking near the Santa Fe Plaza, where you can walk shop, eat, and look at art. Some highlights of the Plaza area include the Loretto Chapel and Georgia O’Keefe Museum. Make sure to stop at the Shed for lunch while you’re at the Plaza.
