Loren and I met through mutual friends during a night out in the valley. My friends and I had planned a night at the bars and the day before we went out, they asked if they could invite their friend Loren. Of course, I said yes, they could invite as many girls as they wanted for girls night! We were doing a little pregaming at their house when the front door opened. I heard a guy's voice and turned around and was introduced to Loren who was definitely not a girl.
We were on vacation in Panama City Beach, FL when we got engaged. My cousin, Sarah, and her husband, Brian, were in on Loren's plan to propose while we were there. It was our first day of vacation and the four of us were on the beach. Sarah and I were laying on a blanket and Loren and Brian were swimming in the ocean. The boys went up to our room to see if there were any boogie boards to use. While up in the room, they were looking out over the balcony at Sarah and I on the blanket. Loren decided he wanted to propose right then. They came back down to the beach and wanted to take pictures before the sun set. Sarah and Brian went first and then the four of us took a group picture. Loren and I went and took one picture and then Loren wanted to take a "funny picture." I told him I didn't know what to do for it and he said he had an idea and pulled the ring out of his pocket. I was so surprised and so excited and he was so nervous that neither of us really remember what was said! It was a perfect day!
