In the fall of 2016, we briefly met through a mutual friend at Morrison Academy, a Christian school in Taiwan. However, it wasn't until a year later that we met again when Emma transferred to the same school. Despite the class dynamic of being divided between genders, Emma was immediately drawn to James' quiet charm, while James was equally eager to get to know her better. With only one month left of their junior year, the Junior-Senior Banquet was fast approaching. James saw this as the perfect opportunity to ask Emma out. With a bouquet of purple flowers, chocolate, and a note that read, "Emma, will you go to JSB with me?" James nervously awaited her response. It was a resounding yes! As the day of JSB approached, nerves set in. What if we had nothing in common? But when we finally met up, we hit it off immediately (with dance moves too) and talked for six hours straight. From there, our friendship grew, and we spent seven months getting to know each other before we started dating on November 2nd, 2018, at the Junior Carnival. Emma was drawn by James' unwavering faith, thoughtfulness, generosity, and intentionality. James was attracted to Emma's deep commitment to honoring God in all her relationships, her joyful and friendly nature, and her bright attitude toward life. Our love story has been an exciting journey, and we are incredibly grateful that God brought us together. In preparation for our wedding, we reflect on the past 4 1⁄2 years with joy and anticipation for what lies ahead. We are so excited to start our journey together as husband and wife, committed to loving and serving each other for a lifetime!
