We met in our school's dining hall at dinner time. I walked up to Jack with a mutual friend of our ours who was sitting by himself (happily), but I thought he looked lonely. I went up and said, "Hi, I'm Emma! You look lonely; I'm going to sit with you and we're now friends!" Jack smiled and said okay and thus started our friendship and soon to be relationship!

I was walking past the volleyball courts sophomore year with a friend when Jack noticed me. He texted me and asked if I was free to hang out. I replied saying that I was busy, but could later. We met up after dinner and sat on a bench making fun of people playing volleyball and talked about our upcoming classes for the semester. We later found out we had a class together every single day!

We met up at the gazebo by the pond on campus and talked about what we wanted to do. We both said we liked each other and wanted more and thus Jack asked me to be his girlfriend. Obviously, I said yes! Thus starting our 2 1/2 year relationship!

Somehow Jack was able to surprise me with this proposal! It was valentine's day and our anniversary so we decided to celebrate all the above that Saturday. He had worn me down in thinking he wasn't going to propose so I didn't suspect a thing. We went out to brunch and then he surprised me by taking me to the ZOO! I was so excited looking at all of the different animals! Little did I know that our Brookfield Zoo dolphins from IL would be there! We went up and he proposed in front of our dolphins! And of course I said YES! With great surprise I was jumped with joy, literally!

And now we can't wait to be celebrating our special day with all of you! We are excited to have each of you be there for this chapter of our story! We are beyond excited to have each and every one of you celebrate our love and commitment to one another!
