7:00 pm
Since the main event, which is on 10/12, will be smaller (and our families are large), but we still want to celebrate with all of our friends, we have rented the cottage at the Colonial Inn for a party on 10/5. We'll bring board games and the Nintendo Switch. We'll provide some food and beverages, but guests are also welcome to bring some. The cottage has room for six people (other than Katy & Emma) to spend the night - two will have to share a bed. We are offering these spaces on a first-come, first-served basis to anyone who would like to stay overnight instead of heading back to Boston. No payment is necessary. Contact us if you are interested. (Note: This party is 18+, but the way the site works, we can't invite a subset of a group to an event, so if you have children who are invited to the reception, you will see an RSVP option for them for this party as well. You can just select "no" for that. Thanks!)
7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Due to the lack of a full ceremony we will not have a rehearsal, but why let that cheat us of a rehearsal dinner? This event is for family only. Getting to the restaurant: We HIGHLY recommend taking public transit as the North End is one of the worse places in the city to drive. The nearest station is Haymarket on the Green Line. If you're staying in Concord, you can take the commuter rail to North Station and either walk from there (it's about a 10 min walk) or take the Green Line one stop from North Station to Haymarket. If you do want to drive, the nearest garage is Haymarket Garage (https://www.pilgrimparking.com/boston-parking-garages/haymarket-garage). It is a 6-minute walk.
5:00 pm
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks.
Full schedule: 4:00 - Family arrives for pre-event photos 5:00 - Exchange of vows 5:30 - Cocktail hour begins 6:30 - Dinner begins 8:00 - Cake cutting; dance floor opens 10:00 - Event ends
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
There will be a private breakfast buffet for wedding attendees in the Middlesex Room from 10 am to 12 pm on Sunday. People who are not staying at the Inn are also welcome, though it may not be practical for people who aren't staying in or near Concord.
