Emma and Andrew met on the first day of college when they found out they would be living just a few rooms away from each other in the dorms. They didn't know each other well, but were often in the same friend group. Emma figured Andrew was too 'cool' for her, little did she know how wrong that was. Eventually, after returning from winter break freshman year they started to get close. After hearing Andrew's drunken version of 'Its Raining Men,' Emma was hooked. From then on they became inseparable. Five years later they still spend almost all of their time together, with the addition of their two puppies.

Andrew woke Emma up at 4:30 to take her on a sunrise hike at the first place that they went on a date together, a trail near Emma's childhood home. At the top of the hike, Andrew gave Emma a photo album highlighting the last 5 years together while he tried to set up a camera to get a picture of the proposal (which did not work at all). At sunrise, he popped the question and some champagne in the company of their two best buds--Winnie & Franklin.
