We meet through mutual friends over the course of summer pool parties. Over the summers in high school Emily's backyard tended to be the hang out spot next to the pool. Some friends of theres invited Trav to tag along one day, and after a few more days of fun in the sun and a little high school flirting They found that there rafts were floating closer together, blankets were being shared next to the fire pit and summer nights were being spent lying on the tramp looking up at the universe and wondering where Gods plans were gonna take this.

During Christmas Emily's family decide to ditch the gifts and do a family Christmas cruise instead. One night early on during the vacation Trav suggested that they go explore and see more of the ship, surprisingly enough Emily agreed and didn't think much about until they ended up on the upper private part of the boat where all they were surrounded by was endless miles sea, an infinity amount of stars and a man on his knee.
