Ryan & Emily have been lifelong best friends, conquering the same battles and rejoicing in the same victories as a family since 2003. Though sibling relationships always have their ups and downs, Ryan and Emily remain close and rooting for one another in life.

Lindsee and Emily are cousins and great friends!!! The two of them have been on many adventures together, like traveling to St. Louis, New Orleans and even Mexico! Lindsee and Emily can always relate to one another in ways that others can’t, which bonds them. You can always catch the two of them laughing together!!

Lauren and Emily are cousins & ALMOST birthday twins!!! Emily can remember the day Lauren was born and remembers being upset when Lauren wasn’t born on the same day as her!! Lauren is one of the coolest 15 year olds you’ll ever meet. She holds down a part time job while volunteering at Youth Group every week! With great style and a bright personality, it was easy for Lauren and Emily to become more than just cousins, they’re friends!!

Sam and Skylar have been friends since they were both in youth group! Their friendship is rooted in the fact they both love God and love music. Sam, being a guitarist and Skylar, being a drummer, have contrived an insane musical telepathy when they play together that only they understand. This is just a reflection of the connection that they have as not only friends, but as brothers.

Eddie and Skylar have so many memories of the two of them being boys together; playing video games, listening to music and Christmas every year. The two of them have always been close and there for each other when either of them needed it.

Although Ethan and Skylar are cousins, their relationship would be classified as friends! The two of them are very similar in their taste of music, movies, video games and more. Ethan and Skylar used to go to music festivals together and experience all sorts of fun memories together. They are definitely two peas in a pod!

Adam & Skylar became good friends in 2020 when Adam began attending Skylar’s church. The two of them are youth ministers who are also musicians, so they can relate on a lot! On their own, they are both fun and the life of the party, so when the two are together, it can get crazy! The two of them can always be found laughing together!

John is the Pastor of Hope City Church and formerly was a Jeweler for 25 years. Emily and John are very similar in personality and some even say in appearance! John is definitely where Emily gets her goofy side from!! Both John and Shanti are excited to become grandparents!

Shanti was a stay-at-home mom during Emily & Ryan’s childhood, which is what led to Emily and her mom being as close as they are today! Shanti is and will always be Emily’s best friend. The two of them are connected in heart even when they aren’t together in person. Shanti looks forward to becoming a grandma!!

Wyatt is 6 years old and in Kindergarten! Wyatt is the son of Josh and Diane - Shanti’s brother and sister in law and Emily’s aunt and uncle. Wyatt is an outgoing, ball of energy who loves to sing karaoke and play on the trampoline. Wyatt would love to be a doctor when he grows up!

Elly is 10 years old and in the fourth grade! Elly is the daughter of Sita and Lance McMurrin - Shanti’s sister and brother in law & Emily’s aunt and uncle. Elly loves to create content on YouTube and even had close to 20,000 subscribers!!! She envisions herself opening up a bakery/cafe when she grows up!

LJ is 7 and in 1st grade. LJ is the son of Sita and Lance McMurrin - Emily’s aunt and uncle & Shanti’s sister and brother in law. LJ loves to play video games with his family and do puzzles!! LJ would love to have a life of adventure & be a police officer or firefighter when he grows up!
Dale Culbertson

Dale was a lead pastor for around 40 years until he handed the baton to his son John. Now Dale is Hope City’s founding pastor! Dale spends most of his time involved in church, traveling internationally to churches to preach the Gospel with his wife, Dana and go to MLB Cardinal games!
