Our whole lives we grew up less than fifteen minutes apart. You'd think we'd known of one another or met at some point, but we did not begin talking until after college, when we both moved back home. We became familiar with each other through social media, and officially went on our first date in April of 2016. The date was at Outback Steakhouse where we shared appetizers and drank beers, until Logan had to end the night early to go to band practice. Emily soon found herself at all of his shows, watching him sing and play guitar, all while trying not to get too involved. Logan had a plan to move to Nashville in November. We fell in love over the summer and Logan was ironically offered a full time position at the Health Plan while playing a private show for his now-boss. He took the job and they decided to move in together after dating only 7 months. I guess the saying holds true--when you know you know.

In order to tell this story, we must first start by saying how we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. It was after a Dierks Bentley concert on May 13, 2016. Fast forward two years and we found ourselves going to another Dierks Bentley concert. It was just the two of us, and we had tickets right up front by the stage. Logan had planned to wait until The Brothers Osborne sang "Pushing Up Daisies," but soon after the first opener started playing he could not wait any longer. Lanco was singing "Greatest Love Story" and he decided to go for it. Logan handed his phone to the couple behind us and told them to take our picture. Once they started to take it, he got down on one knee. After crying tears of joy, Emily said YES and they started this journey together. We didn't even stay until Dierks came on, we left so we could go home and celebrate with Emily's parents. Needless to say, there were more tears of joy.
