We have photo evidence of our first meeting back in May 2021 — Kevin, the engaging tour guide, and Emily, the museum patron passing through town. We would officially meet one year later when Emily started working at the museum. Little did we know what our future (and past) had for us!

My roommate and I started a hobby podcast in Fall 2022. I invited my good friend from work, Kevin, to guest feature on an episode! It was such a fun conversation followed by Kevin graciously eating some mediocre homemade squash pasta I made too much of. Rumor has it that the episode will be published… at some point… when I finish editing it… by the wedding maybe? (You’ll eventually find the episode on Spotify: Cold Off the Press podcast, episode “Bells, Bells, Bells”.)

My now fiancé went out with me for the first time at a restaurant called “India Palace.” The place was bougie, but also quite private and relaxing. The date itself went quite well. But upon ending it, I admitted that I didn’t know what to do at that point, seeing as the date had exceeded my expectations. My fiancé calmly looked me in the eye and said “ice cream?” We are now getting married! ❤️😁😁😁
