*Devin and Emily originally met back when she was 16 and he was 19. They ended up adding each other on Snapchat and Devin had snapped Emily. She didn't think anything of it and it ended up being a missed connection. *Fast forward 6 years to when Emily and Devin really hit it off. She said, "he just snapchatted me one day and we kept talking." *After talking for a bit Emily decided she was going to see Devin in Graceville one night. However, she ended up getting a call that Devin had been life flighted to Fargo. Emily raced up to Fargo to be by Devin's side and stayed with him that night and the next night after bringing him home to Wheaton. It was while she stayed with him and helped take care of him those couple of days that their connection really started to form and grow. Despite having an undeniable connection Emily still said No when Devin asked her out the first time *Devin was patient, but persistent, and when he asked Emily out again she said No for a second time. It wasn't until Halloween of 2021 that Emily actually asked Devin out by asking if he would be her "boo." He said yes and they had their first official date shortly after at Applebee's in Fergus Falls. *After continuing to spend more time together Emily and Devin really started to fall for each other. Emily knew how she felt and decided life was too short to not tell the people you care about that you love them. About a month into dating they were hanging out and Emily told Devin she loved him....and knowing how he felt, Devin said it back right away. From that moment they knew they didn't want to be without the other. *Early December was a big moment for Emily and Devin as that was when Devin was introduced to Emily's son, Brantley. Brantley warmed up to Devin pretty quick and to this day Emily says they have the most amazing connection and loved how great Devin was with Brantley and loved seeing how much Brantley loved Devin as well. *Early 2022 Emily and Devin made the decision for Emily and Brantley to move in the house with Devin in Wheaton. February 14th, after getting moved in and settled a bit, Devin invited Emily's parents, sibling, and best friend for dinner. Emily says she remembered Devin acting a bit weird, but didn't think anything of it....until he walked up to Emily, got down on one knee, and said, "Emily, I promised you forever. Will you marry me?" Emily was so excited that she answered while he was still proposing. The happiest one that night though may have been Brantley, as he was jumping up and down and screaming, "Yay!" *Devin and Emily feel so happy and incredibly blessed to have everyone share not only in the celebration of their love, but also officially becoming a family of 3 ❤️
