Things To Do

Here's some great places to eat and shop in my hometown! A mix of spots I've loved since I was a kid or newer businesses I always try to visit when I'm back in town. I hope you enjoy! Also, downtown Sulphur Springs is just fun to explore, so definitely make time for that if you can - it doesn't take all that long :)

Plain & Fancy Sandwich Shoppe

120 Main Street, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482

Best chicken salad sandwiches this side of the Mississippi, the pimento and cheese is a close second.

Juan Pablos

1216 Mockingbird Lane, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482

Classic Tex-Mex, nothing has changed about this restaurant since I was old enough to store memories in my brain. A Sulphur Springs dynasty.

San Remo Italian Restaurant

226 Connally Street, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482

Fantastic Italian food, another place I've loved since I was a child. The rigatoni paseano is my go to.

Haystacks

206 Main Street, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482

Good lunch, GREAT breakfast. This is also the place you should come for a coffee if you care about good espresso. I like the flat white. They are heavy handed on the syrups though so just keep that in mind.

Big Smith's Bar-B-Q & Catfish

4858 Texas 154, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482

Another local legend. This is one of those places where they give you peanuts to eat before your meal comes out and you're allowed to throw the shell on the ground, as a 7 year old it was awesome. I can't speak to the catfish but fantastic pork and brisket ribs.

Millhollin

222 Main Street, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482

Best boutique in North Texas, hands down. Think: small town Anthropologie

Beauty Grace Lifestyle Shop

224 Connally Street, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482

Another cute little boutique in Sulphur Springs! A little more colorful than Millhollin

Fox & Fig

624 Main Street, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482

Better for gift shopping than personal

The Good Eye Market

109 Magnolia Street, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482

Antique Texas home goods shop, great place to walk around to burn off breakfast

For all the days along the way
