World of Coca-Cola
Something the city of Atlanta is very proud of - Coca Cola was invented here! Their museum shows you a bit about the history and how they make Coke products today. The best part? A tasting room of all Coca-Cola products made worldwide!
Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame
Why is it Chick Fil A sponsored? Because everything in ATL is. We went here on our first trip to Atlanta. Aaron even tried to score a field goal on their practice field. Key word - "tried."
The Varsity
If you're looking for classic, greasy, hamburgers and fries. Look no further. Their midtown location is the original - just make sure you know what you want when you get to the counter!
Piedmont Park
The Central Park of Atlanta. Perfect for a picnic or some outdoor exercise. They also have a great restaurant called Park Tavern - warning: it is a seat yourself kind of place unless you make a reservation - which we would definitely recommend!
Georgia Aquarium
The biggest aquarium in the western hemisphere! They have a pretty great sea lion show and lots of other crazy animals. Beware the gift shop!
Atlanta Botanical Garden
Amazing plant sculptures, beautiful orchid rooms, what's not to love? Just don't go if it's over 90 degrees with 85% humidity, like Aaron and Emily did their first time.
Ponce City Market
Rooftop cocktails, endless shopping, even more endless restaurants. A one stop shop really, complete with several backdrops for that perfect insta.
The Vortex Bar & Grill
One of Aaron's personal favorite restaurants! He tried to bring some friends here during the weekend of our engagement party - and they had a gas leak and shut down the whole place. But lightning doesn't strike twice right?
Stone Mountain Park
Feeling like you need some exercise after all the wedding cake? A hike to the top of Stone Mountain will surely help you. When Aaron was training to climb Kilimanjaro, we came here almost every weekend to hike. Not so much since he stopped training though...
Swan House at Atlanta History Center
Where Aaron and Emily took their engagement photos! There's also a whole museum attached to it and a restaurant as well!
Chastain Park Golf Course
If you're looking for a game of golf, or maybe just a less daunting hike than Stone Mountain - a walk around the golf course at Chastain Park is always a good time. And one of Aaron and Emily's staple weekend activities!
The Battery Atlanta
A new area full of restaurants and other cool things to do that sits right next to the Braves stadium, Truist Park. Go Dodgers though.
