Emily and Jennifer met through a mutual friend at their time attending UTSA. Soon after meeting, they quickly became inseparable and there were very few days where Jennifer and Emily weren't at one another's dorm room sharing a late night pizza. Together they share a love for food, laughs, and unicorns (but mostly food). Jennifer is a passionate traveller and foodie and knows all of the best eats in the Houston area. She has a boyfriend named Johnny, together they have an English Bulldog named Huk.

Amber Philpot Rizo

Matron of Honor

Amber was Emily's big sister in their sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. They lived it up attending many sorority and university events together. Emily later became a third wheel as Amber began tagging along a guy named Tito. Tito quickly became a close friend to Emily and after years of dating, Amber and Tito married each other in 2019. Writing and reading are two of Amber's biggest hobbies as they allow her creativity to shine through. Both she and Tito have 2 very fluffy huskies named Reptar and Lydia.

Samuel DeLeon

Man of Honor

On February 2nd, 2000 Gabe's life was turned completely upside down. He was no longer the youngest and he was no longer the only boy. Sam grew up and Gabe got older and went off to college, they became closer and closer until they became the best of friends. They share stories, music, food, drinks and love to spend time together as often as their schedules allow. Sam is currently a senior at The University of Texas and is very involved in Longhorn Athletics, his fraternity Phi Kappa Psi, and social life.

Ryan Brooks

Ryan was forced to hang around Gabe in the year 2004, not because Gabe was cool, but because of Gabe's sister, Nikki. Ryan is a few years older than Gabe, so naturally as Ryan dated Nikki, Gabe would get on Ryan's nerves. Over time their friendship would grow and they became great friends. Ryan loves to spend his time with friends and family, as well as watching Texas A&M Aggie football. A graduate of A&M, Ryan now resides in his hometown of Bay City, Texas where he works as a teacher. He enjoys hanging out with his 2 daughters Ava and Ally, and wife, Nikki. He is an avid Chelsea FC fan, loves to cook, and can always be found hanging out with their beloved Border Collie, Daisy.

Nicole Plata

Nicole and Emily met as babies in daycare before they could even speak! Conveniently, it turned out their families lived in the same neighborhood. There were very few kids and the houses were spaced far apart, so it didn't take Nicole and Emily very long to become the best of friends. Together they grew up spending all summer together, riding bikes, having slumber parties, and goofing around outside on the trampoline and in the sprinklers. Nicole went on to graduate with a degree in Biomedical engineering at Texas A&M University but outside the lab, she continued her love for dance. She has always been an extremely active and dedicated member of her church communities from a young age, and continues to do so alongside her husband Craig and their dog Oliver.

Hannah Petersen

Much to Emily's dislike, Hannah and Emily met at the hospital when Hannah was born in 1996. Through all Emily's attempts of convincing Hannah she was adopted, Hannah wouldn't give in. After a few years, Emily (sometimes) decided maybe it wasn't so bad having a little sister after all. Having a huge love for Bassett Hounds, Hannah finally adopted her own Bassett, named Morph. He is pictured above as Hannah has declined our request to provide a photo.

Silverio Rizo (Tito)

During Emily's time at UTSA, Tito began dating Amber and became one of Emily's best friends. Through the visits from Louisiana to San Antonio, Gabe and Tito would slowly get to know each other until they became best friends as well. Through Gabe's uncertainty towards a professional path in music, Tito, a graduate of UTSA, used his architecture experience to recommend Gabe pursue a degree and future in construction. It turned out as a great fit and Tito couldn't have been more right with his recommendation. Tito enjoys his free time traveling, designing, gaming, and most of all, living life alongside his wife, Amber and their 2 Huskies Reptar and Lydia.

Manny Neault

The very first time Manny and Gabe met was the moment they moved into their dorm at McNeese Sate University. Gabe walked out of his room and was met by a smiling, upbeat-guy with shaking hands from excitement. The first words out of Manny's mouth were, "WHOOOO LIKES THE TEXANS?!??", referring to Gabe's Texans shirt. Manny and Gabe have been best friends ever since. Manny graduated with a bachelor and masters degree in music from 2 universities in Louisiana. While he's not doing his band director duties, he's watching sports. Specifically, the Green Bay Packers. The only things that make him happier than cheese heads are his beautiful wife, Erica, his 2 daughters, Dakota and Peyton, and their 2 cats, Shadow and Blaze.

Mathew Rocha

Mathew and Emily met in 2nd grade at Bowie Elementary in San Marcos, Texas. They remained great friends through intermediate, junior, and high school. Both started on trumpet in band until the day came where Mathew switched to play the baritone. This was the only time Mathew has ever betrayed Emily. Mathew can recite any and all Britney Spears or Lady Gaga lyrics. He has quite the green thumb and an extreme passion for houseplants; his favorites being Monsteras, Chinese Evergreens, Pothos, and Fiddle Leaf Figs.

Jordan Dulaney (Laney)

Laney and Emily instantly connected through their mutual love of Harry Potter. Laney is the Slytherin to Emily's Hufflepuff-self, but, while the 2 have opposite personalties, they still find common ground in interests and humor. Laney is a horror movie fiend, her favorites being all the horror classics and anything Stephen King. When she's not walking the local graveyard shouting "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice", you can find her browsing vintage stores and listening to Stevie Nicks. Laney has a Master's degree in Psychology and has recently become a therapist, she has a husband named Ricky, and 3 white, fluffy dogs named Croissant, Rocko and Wilfred.

Garrett Fissel

Although Garrett may not look like a DeLeon boy, he has always been treated as such. Growing up alongside the younger 3, Garrett has always been a part of sporting events, band concerts, holiday parties, birthdays and much more. He has always been around the family and we plan to keep it that way forever. Garrett is always willing to show up unannounced, clean your entire house, do your laundry, mow your yard, and balance your checkbook at any time. Garrett is a student at Texas A&M where he is studying Pre-Med in hopes to pursue med school after Graduation.

Natalie Auringer

A long, long, time ago in kindergarten class is when Emily met Natalie. Natalie, Mathew and Emily spent their entire time in grade school all together. Emily and Natalie spent many Friday's in high school together, often being band bus seat partners to and from most high school football games. Natalie continues to be one of the kindest and sweetest people ever, she has the ability to brighten anyone's day and doesn't allow others to walk all over the ones she loves. She enjoys being outside as much as possible, hiking, tubing, and spending time with her dog, Bootz, cat, Miss Kitty and boyfriend, Sebastian. Being an animal lover, --especially dogs, Natalie is working towards becoming a certified dog trainer.

Isaiah DeLeon

On October 7th, 2005, Isaiah was the final straw that broke the camels back. No more DeLeon Kids!!! Last, but definitely not least, Isaiah grew up under the constant badgering of his 4 larger and older brothers. That did not last long. Isaiah is now a phenomenal athlete at San Marcos High School, having received college letters for basketball as a freshman and in football as a sophomore. Arguably the goofiest of the bunch, Isaiah has a smile that can light up a room and dance moves that will spark any dance floor. Isaiah loves spending his time making family and friends laugh. He's been a large part of Emily and Gabe's life and they cannot wait to see how far he goes.

Joshua DeLeon

On April 22nd, 2002 things got worse...Another boy was born into the DeLeon family. With a radiant smile and great eyelashes, Josh was destined for greatness and never looked back. Josh is an incredible student in the Petroleum Engineering program at the University of Texas and has maintained a level of excellence thus far. He is also a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity alongside his brother Sam. He attends many athletic events including participating in intramural sports, and finds time to study even though he often stays up until 2am playing Fortnite with Emily.

Braedon Morrow

Ever since Braedon was a kid, he had a taste for the finer things in life. Fast cars, a nice wine and charcuterie, pure bred bengal cats. That being said, he somehow found his way to Texas Tech and we just had to forgive him for that. After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Finance, he decided to pack up his things and move east in search of the worlds best gumbo. December 2020 Braeden graduated with a Law degree from LSU and has finally moved back to Texas. He currently lives in Houston where he works (finally) and enjoys his weekends playing golf, drinking a white claw with the boys, and googling bengal cats for sale in SE Texas.

Michael Saunders

Mike (Nasty Mike) and Gabe met when they both took their upper level heavy civil and highway construction course at Texas State University. Neither of them had any interest in the class, however, they both had interest in each other. Having both grown up in "the 979", Mike and Gabe hit it off immediately. They enjoyed doing the same activities, listen to the same music, and have been known to enjoy a beer or two between classes. Mike quickly became one of Gabe's best friends and they pushed each other to graduate together, and even work alongside each other for a bit. Mike will give you the shirt off his back, do anything to help, and always makes everyone feel welcome. Michael is married to his wonderful wife, Christina, and together have 2 beautiful daughters named Landry and Blakely.
