We suggest you stay in Lausanne which is a beautiful historic city on the lake with views for days. Another option is Morges, a much smaller town, but also on the lake with stunning views. Morges is a little closer to Portes des Iris, and located in between Geneva and Lausanne, about a 20 minute train or drive from Lausanne.

If you fly into Geneva, Lausanne is about a 45 minute train ride (as a direct connection in the airport) or a hour drive away.

Rental Car
Renting a car and might be worth it if you are planning on making a vacation out of the trip. Trains are an excellent option to get around as well. Ubers do exist in Lausanne and Geneva. Switzerland drives on the right side of the road.

How to get to Domaine La Capitaine for the Sangeet / Welcome Party from Lausanne? From Lausanne you can take an Uber to Domaine La Capitaine, cost is about 70CHF. You can also take a train to the town of Gland for about 9CHF and take an Uber from the train station in Gland for about 13CHF.

If you are driving there is plenty of parking at Portes des Iris, and they let you keep your car there overnight. Ubers from Lausanne to Portes des Iris are about 50CHF From Lausanne you can take a train to the town of Morges for about 4CHF, then take an Uber up to the venue for about 25CHF
