I was never too interested in live music. Sure, I loved a good old Kenny Chesney concert in the heat of the summer, but that was as far as it went. So when my friend, Cheyenne, asked me to accompany her to Daddy Joe's one Thursday night to see a band called "Tyler Hatley and the Little Mountain Band," my initial response was "nah." It took a solid hour of her begging me to come and trying to convince me that the drummer had tattoos, a mohawk, and was "super hot" (LOL) before I decided to get up and start getting ready. We got there at 6:30 because the music was supposed to start at 7, but it wasn't until well after that when a huge white van came whipping into the parking lot and one little dude hopped out and started unloading speakers. "So where's my hot drummer with tattoos and a mohawk, Cheyenne?" She had read the advertisement wrong. We were only getting an acoustic show from Tyler that night. Lucky for her, I thought he was pretty cute. My son, Ryker, and Cheyenne's son, Liam, danced the night away as Tyler sang... probably getting on every nerve he had as they giggled and ran in circles in front of him. I gave Ryker some money to go put in his tip jar and as he did, Tyler looked up at me, we locked eyes, and it was over with. I told Cheyenne I HAD to know him. Thanks to Snapchat and a few good friends, I got a message from that NC boy the very next day and he's had my heart ever since.
