It all started in the sweetest, most unexpected way—just a group of friends in a New York diner, laughing over Kaitlyn’s bamboo straw and Emeir’s silicone straw, united by a shared mission to save the sea turtles. What seemed like a quirky conversation starter quickly became the foundation of something extraordinary. From that day on, our story began to unfold. Kaitlyn couldn’t believe Emeir willingly walked to Dunkin’ every morning down the Thornwood hill, so she made a promise to wake up early to drive him down for coffee. And if you know Kaitlyn, you know she hates mornings. But somehow, those early drives became something special—an excuse to spend more time together, to turn sleepy yawns into inside jokes, and to make ordinary moments feel magical. What began as casual moments blossomed into a real friendship. We laughed, explored the city, and discovered a love that grew stronger with every coffee run and adventure we had together.
