We met at the start of the pandemic in Hawaii and had our first date over Skype. Then we went on a hike and realized we liked hanging out. We started seeing each other every day, going swimming at Ko'olina, rollerblading in the neighborhood, and binge-watching The Queen's Gambit. After a year of quarantine together we thought, “Okay. This is something really special.”

Shortly after moving to El Paso, Texas together, we went to White Sands National Park in New Mexico. When Aaron asked me to buy him a fanny pack for his birthday I thought nothing of it. That is until Aaron asked me to stand up during sunset, I looked down and he was on his knee pulling out a silver box. I asked, “Is this real?” Followed by “YES, of course!” and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
