Venue

Both of us valued finding a meaningful venue for our wedding, and it turns out, the ideal place was right across the street in downtown LA—the Hotel Alexandria. This venue wasn't just visually stunning; it had layers of history that made it even more special. We'd met and built our lives downtown, so the location felt serendipitous.
Since its establishment in 1906, the Alexandria has been more than just a building; it's been a historic landmark in downtown LA. The ballrooms have seen a range of high-profile events, from Hollywood galas to presidential visits. Notable figures like Winston Churchill and Theodore Roosevelt have graced its halls. Ronald Reagan even hosted a campaign fundraiser there in the early '70s.
The venue continues to be a cultural hub today, hosting events and serving as a set for stars like Natalie Portman and Beyonce, and it was officially recognized as a City of Los Angeles Historical-Cultural Monument in 1971.
