Bride
Carrie is one of those people that puts others ahead of herself. She's stubborn, so you have to be insistent that she take care of herself too. It's a remarkable quality to be selfless. Carrie shows it by the way she treats her family, her friends, and her fur kids.
Groom
When Ben and I met the pieces all fit; this isn't something that we had to grow into it just was like it had always been and everything felt just right. I always thought those couples that would say, "You know when you know," were ridiculous, until I met Ben. He is patient and caring, easy to laugh and really listens. Mama always used to say, "Have you found a keeper?" I'd like to take a moment to be able to finally tell her, "Yes".
Maid of Honor
This fun born-Cuban now-American woman is my Matron of Honor and best friend! We have helped each other this year stay strong through tough times, laugh together, cry together, seek out new adventures and found that we really aren't that different. It's so hard to trust people having that one person you can ALWAYS count on is a gem in itself. I have at least two outside of my immediate family; I'm so rich in that way. I never had sisters or brothers - now I do. Thank you for always smiling and being contagiously happy! It's a pleasure sharing my family with you and having you in my life I am thankful to have you as a "sister" and best-friend.
Man of Honor
Grandpa taught Ben so many things. Growing up Ben looked up to him and learned everything he could, he sponged up all the information that man gave. When I was brought into the family, and got the pleasure of meeting this jovial man I learned that Marvin worked at Colgate right when my dad started working there! They probably passed each other in revelation as one was retiring and one was starting his career. He has played such a huge part in Ben's life. I'm thankful I am able to have shared the time I have with him. What a wonderful honor it will be to have him standing on the alter beside Ben as his best man.
Father of the Bride
Dad, you are my rock, my strength, my courage, my fire. You have always encouraged me and guided me along the way. You have always stood beside me and taught me right from wrong. I grew into the woman I am because I followed the steps you led and I always had you to hold me up and to cheer me on. You taught me to work hard and never give up on something you want. You taught me to be strong and true to myself. I cannot thank you enough for showing me how to take care of your family and the values that a man might hold. That helped me know right away that Ben was the one for me, not long after we met. Thank you for being the father that I always needed and the one that was always there with me and for me. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Mother of the Bride
Mom, you gave me wings so that I may try to learn how to fly even though you sometimes had to catch me when I fell. I only soared higher because of you. You taught me patience and virtue, and how to learn to love without holding back. You taught me to go after what I dreamed; heaven's knows that was an adventure! You taught me to pick my battles and with that I learned to how to cooperate better with my partner. You taught me how important it is to be selfless and caring and give back to others. As I grew, I watched and learned, even when you thought I wasn't paying attention, everything I am I got from you and dad and I hope to learn much more as the months and years go by. Thank you for helping shape me.
Mother of the Groom
"You should never be afraid to talk to your parents." This is sound advice Suzanne gives to both children and parents alike. It's some of the best advice I've received. She'll also help you in any way she can and cook you a good meal to top it off.
Usher
If there was one single most-helpful figure in the family that you knew you could always count on to help you drag your dirty, stinking truck out of the river, or teach you how to make the best bourbon cheesecake -- it's Michael!
Usher
Zach is Carrie's nephew and a Senior at New Albany High School. This young man will help escort you to your seats for the ceremony.
Ring Bearer
Jacob and Michael are my little nephews and are attached at the hip. They are full of love and joy, and sometimes spice! They will bring some added enjoyment to the event, for sure.
Officiant
I met Dean through a call from R&R. The timing was perfect, he was looking for a transportation company to partner up with Lakeside Reflections; which is one of his represented companies. I found out through a brief conversation that he not only used to play drums in a rock band but DJ's, coordinates and is a thoughtful officiant that seems to have the right things to say at just the right time. Dean is easy to laugh and should make the day that much more enjoyable.
Flute & Harpist Duo
"Carol Cutler and Rozanna Thompson became acquainted when Rozanna was working for Ky Opera in 1989. We became friends and, almost immediately, our Flute and Harp Duo was launched. While we have always performed a wide range of music together, it is the wedding music which hearkens us back again and again. We are excited to be performing for Carrie and Ben's wedding at Gardencourt, one of Louisville's most beautiful locations," wrote Carol.
