Golden is a historic town with a vibrant downtown area and is home to Colorado School of Mines as well as the original Coors Brewery. It's about a 10 minute drive from the venue and is also accessible by public transit (take the W-line train from the Federal Center station to Jefferson County station, then transfer to the free Ore Cart bus to downtown Golden). Golden has many restaurants, breweries, bars, and shops downtown. There's a free history museum, historical park, and beer sampling and a tour at the original Coors Brewery. There are many trailheads in Golden for hiking including North and South Table Mountain. For those looking for a paved path, there are bike and walking paths along Clear Creek in downtown Golden.
Check out the historic amphitheater, considered one of the best music venues in the world. Plus there's great hiking in the park!
Downtown Denver is about a 15 minute drive from the venue and is accessible by public transit (take the W-line train from the Federal Center station to Union Station). Denver has a plethora of restaurants and shopping. The Denver mint is located close to Union Station, as is 16th street for shopping. City park is home to the zoo and museums.
Meow Wolf is also accessible by public transit: take the W-line train from the Federal Center station to Empower Field at Mile High Station. It is a few minute walk from there. Certain entry times may sell out depend on the day/time, so we suggest you buy tickets ahead of time (website linked here). Meow wolf is impossible to explain. Rocky Mountain National Park is a little under a 2 hour drive from the venue. There are incredible viewpoints and hiking trails, including some shorter paved trails. Note that reservations are required to enter. You can book a reservation for the time period around our wedding on September 1, 2025 at 8am Mountain time via the National Park Service website (linked here). Otherwise, additional reservations are released at 7pm Mountain time the night before.
