Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Ella Guimond and Kyle Payne
Thank you for coming to Connecticut to celebrate our wedding with us! Please take the time to explore this historic New England area. Hopefully you find the same beauty and peace that we love about this place. Here are some of our favorite places to go while we are here.

Harvey's Beach

Old Saybrook, CT 06475

One of the two public beaches in Old Saybrook. Parking for non-residents is $25 so might be worth an Uber/Lyft if car pooling.

Town Beach

105 Plum Bank Road, Old Saybrook, CT 06475

The other public beach in Old Saybrook and (Kyle's) personal favorite. Parking is for Old Saybrook residents only so would suggest to Uber/Lyft or parking along the road outside of the lot.

Fenwick

Old Saybrook, CT 06475

Fenwick is a unique little part of Old Saybrook that is one of the smallest municipalities in the US. There is nice walking loop along the golf course, where you get great views of the Long Island sound and look at the historic homes in the area like Katharine Hepburns's estate.

Essex Village

Essex, CT

Cute, historic downtown along the Connecticut River that is a great place to shop and hit up a couple of local favorite watering holes like The Black Seal and and The Griswold Inn.

Ashlawn Farm Coffee

455 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook, CT 06475

A personal favorite of ours for breakfast and coffee. The chive biscuit with white cheddar and egg is incredible. Best coffee in town. Get there early beacause it is a local favorite and gets crowded on the weekends.

Thimble Island Brewing Company

75 Main Street, Old Saybrook, CT 06475

If you like a local brewery you will like this one on Main Street in Old Saybrook. Nothing to write home about, but solid beer and pub food.

Monkey Farm

571 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook, CT 06475

Most popular local watering hole in Old Saybrook that also has great food. Dive bar atmosphere with pool and darts. They are cash only.

Liv's Shack

26 Bridge Street, Old Saybrook, CT 06475

If you need to scratch the lobster roll itch, Liv's (although pricey) does a solid Connecticut style lobster roll

For all the days along the way
