On March 7, 2015, Tanner asked me to be his girlfriend. During our time dating in high school, we were able to share so many fun memories together. Just a few include proms, basketball games, state track meets, mission trips, and graduation. In August of 2016, Tanner and I began our journey of long distance. He moved to Omaha to attend Creighton University, and I moved to Springfield to attend Missouri State University. Tanner and I would spend the majority of the next 3 1/2 years living in different cities. Despite how difficult it has been to be apart, we believe our relationship is stronger because of it. We cherish any amount of time we get to spend with each other, whether that is on FaceTime or weekends at home together. On February 1, 2019, I woke up to a letter slipped under my door. After reading the letter, I knew that it was the day both Tanner and I had been waiting for. Tanner sent me on a scavenger hunt using pictures from throughout our relationship. I spent the day with my best friend, Lindsey, driving all around KC to get one picture after the next. I got to relive some of our most precious memories together as I visited the places they happened. The last clue took me to The Scout where Tanner got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. On March 7, 2020, Tanner and I will get to celebrate a few amazing life events. We get to celebrate 5 years of dating. We will be saying goodbye to long distance forever. And the best of all, we get to celebrate the beginning of our journey as husband and wife! We cannot wait to spend this day celebrating with you!
