Liz is a native New Yorker and Scott a Michigander. Both met in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2014 while Liz was studying art therapy at Lesley University and Scott was living in Rhode Island interning at Nerf. Cupid credit goes to Andrew James (a groomsmen) who Scott befriended in undergraduate school in Detroit, Michigan and Liz befriended in Florence, Italy. Andrew was determined to introduce the two Valentines Day Weekend 2014 knowing they were meant to be. Distance or time couldn’t seem to keep the two apart. Over the next couple of years, regardless of where each lived Scott remained in touch with Liz. Scott’s persistence paid off and he finally took Liz out on a formal date after he moved to New Jersey designing watches for Movado. As it had been several years since the two originally met, they decided to meet at the clock in Grand Central Terminal to start their date. March 17th, 2018 Scott proposed at the same spot the two recognized each other years before.
