We're getting Married!

Liz stepped into the sports complex with not a care in the world of her looks that morning because she was going to cheer her cousin on in her first basketball game. Game starts and Liz noticed one of the refs of the game was VERY attractive, but she didn't think much of it. As she tried to capture video of her cousin, Dee decides to walk right in front of the camera and "apologizes" by telling Liz to tag him on social media. Quick witted, Liz tells him it was for Snapchat so it was going away. But Dee didn't want her to go away so he made his move to talk to her after the game. The weekends following. Liz then made sure she cared how she looked (Dee noticed). For the next four Saturdays the chats were short (I mean less than 5 minute conversations) but they were enough to spark both their curiosities to get to know one another better. Liz politely demanded he take her on a date to the San Diego Fair; Dee agreed it was the right move; and now they will spend forever together.

Part 1 - Liz's family holds an annual softball game/reunion every Labor Day, and this year Dee took it upon himself to make it the day he was going to pop the question. Not just in front of all of Liz's family, but his as well. He invited everyone! And Liz was clueless. She thought it was just Dee trying to get both families more involved together. Liz had a game to focus on! Time came to pick teams and everyone wanted Dee and Liz as captains and they all had their phones out ready to record the moment (Liz still clueless). Dee goes first and picks LIZ, tells her he wants them to be a team forever, then gets down on one knee! It was perfect and everything Liz ever wanted in a proposal....or so she thought.... Part 2 - After all the hugging and crying, Dee explains to Liz how he knows how much she and her family wish a one special person could be there witnessing the moment. He then pulls out pictures of him at Liz's Dad's grave sight asking him for her hand in marriage. LIZ LOST IT! See, Liz had always hoped that the man she'd marry would see how important her Dad's blessing would mean to her even if he was no longer on this earth, but she never told a soul about that because she knew not everyone could understand her position. But Dee is not "everyone." If she didn't know Dee was the right man for her, she sure as heck knew in that moment!
