Scratch the Wedding! We're Eloping!

Strangely enough, we were both looking to fill our time at home before and during Covid. Mike because he enjoys his quiet, and Liz because she was travelling a lot for work. Due to this, we both started playing a mobile phone game! Yes, we met in the game. Liz's first message to Mike was a threat about his base not fitting in the pattern of the group. Covid hit soon after, and we were talking every night, both in and out of game. After Covid was over, we had gotten to know each other very well as friends, and found a common chemistry. Liz visited the frigid north of Ohio and we have been together ever since.

Actually, Mike did a very good job. He kept the whole thing mostly a secret, and planned an outdoor picnic at the place we had our first date (Defiance Park). There was a gazebo and swings involved. He packed a full picnic with flowers, Sparkling Apple Cider, and mason jars to drink from (a little taste of Ohio, he says). It was a wonderful experience. It was a beautiful day. And to add a little levity, a duo of guys in a race car lost their tire driving by! We got to watch them chase it into the river. LOL

Well, originally we had actually planned to give Florida a chance. But after 2 weeks in Florida, Mike was melting, and to keep him comfortable, we had to keep the house so cold that we would be eating Instant Ramen for the foreseeable future to afford the AC bill! After we determined that, there was really only one place to live. We hope to start a family in the future, and Mike's abundant family in the norther Ohio area provides ample opportunity for free daycare *wink wink*
