Visit Halloween town - Salem, MA
If arriving to town early, consider taking a trip to Salem. Beware, it's likely to be a little busy given Halloween is a few days away, so consider making restaurant reservations, but definitely check the town out if interested! Salem is about a 35-40 minute drive from Newburyport.
Alfalfa Farm Winery
No promises it's good, but 10 minutes away from Peabody is the Alfalfa Farm Winery. As of October 2023 it was open Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5, so if that sounds like fun to you, go check it out and report back!
Hike in Bradley Palmer State Park
Nice fall weather and you want to get outside to enjoy it? Pop over to the state park that is the home of the Willowdale! By the sounds of it, there are lots of trails to check out.
Visit Plum Island
Interested in seeing the sea shore? Drive 10 minutes outside of Newburyport and you can find yourself on the beaches of Plum Island and in the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. Fingers crossed for a sunny day!

Explore Newburyport - pop in and out of shops, bask in the sun at the Waterfront Park, or take a tour of the historic Essex Street Inn, regardless of if you are staying there or not!
