Self-described as kindred spirits: Lacrista and Elise met their first year in college and have been inseparable. Both Capricorns, raised by single Virgo mothers, Lacrista and Elise have formed a sisterly bond that transcends societal friendship norms. They communicate daily providing laughter, comfort and motivation as they navigate the challenges and joys of life. It's all a part of their master plan as confident, God-fearing, Renaissance women.

If not for Jason and Warren's relationship, Jason may not have met his future bride. It all started with a connection made through Warren's niece, and as they say...the rest his history. Warren is Jason's brother-in-love and a true staple in the family's life. You may hear him singing or groovin', or see him cooking or mixing drinks. Warren does it all. Mr. Self-proclaimed "Always 'PuttIn-In-Work." Jason is most proud though, of Warren's tremendous dedication to his family. He is the epitome of a true family man, a man of faith and soon, Jason's Best Man.

Coshia, as she is affectionately called by family, is Elise's younger sister. While they may be years apart in age, the bond they've created over the years strengthens day by day. In addition to her love and sisterly support, Coshia has given Elise two of her greatest joys: Her niece and nephew, Jace and Ava.
CJ

Growing up in church together and going to rival high schools is how Jason and CJ became life-long friends. Then came the FAMU years where they really grew up together and forged a bond. CJ and Jason became known as the 'Racine Bandits,' probably because of all the times they whooped up on everyone playing spades at FAM--while always representing where they were from. Among his many titles, CJ is a husband, writer, actor, a savant in the arts and Jason's Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity brother. However, the title most important to Jason, a brother.
Karlyn

Talk about going way, way back: Karlyn and Elise met in elementary school. Throughout the years, when you saw one, you always saw the other. Many of Elise's first memories are with Karlyn and they've grown together and have a mutual love and respect for each other's family. They've laughed, cried, traveled and everything in between. It's the definition of a deep friendship that's blossomed even greater over the last few years as they enter a new season of womanhood.
William

When Jason and Elise started planning their nuptials, they agreed to have their closest friends and family for the celebration; those who have been supportive from the beginning and will pray over them throughout their journey. William has filled that role in Jason's life, as he has prayed over him many, many times. To have that reassurance and understanding is unmeasurable. Jason and William, Durham affectionately, are fraternity brothers. And their relationship represents brotherhood in every sense of the word. William is a dedicated family man, friend and confidant and Jason is ecstatic to have him by his side on this important day.
Nima
Bridesmaid
Nima and Elise became fast-friends while working together at CNN. However, their bond strengthened well beyond the newsroom. It was their single-girl tales, confidence and Type-A personalities that made their connection an easy one. As fate would have it, they both found love within months of each other and now have created a friend group with their respective spouses. Nima recently added mother to her long list of accolades and now there's a new beautiful baby boy who is the fifth member of the tribe.
Danny

Danny and Jason have known each other since the 1st grade. A true friend and someone who Jason has walked with through life with--both literally and figuratively. Whether it was to-and-from school, taking tests in the same class, study sessions or walking and biking all over the city of Racine. Jason and Danny also played basketball together as kids and went on to play pick-up games throughout the city. Today, Danny is a dedicated family man and Jason is honored that through this thing called life, Danny will be there right beside him for another one of life's important moments.
Natalie

Natalie and Elise became friends over their love of travel. They were both in a group centered around Black women who loved to travel solo. During an Atlanta meet-and-greet, they connected and bonded over travel, world class cuisine and vintage finds. When these two get together it's usually an all-day affair and laughter is sure to follow. And as life goes, Natalie is also a new bride and Elise was there to help her find the perfect dress before she said her "I-Do's." Elise is grateful that Natalie will stand by her side on her special day.

Jason and Todd's friendship started with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Todd is a real brother who has never left Jason's side. The stories, the laughter and memories is what Jason treasures most and as new memories await, Jason is confident that Todd's love, support and altruistic ways will still be there. A brother forever...
