Tina and Lis have worked as colleagues for years in global public health, but it took COVID-19 to push them together. COVID-19 led to the infodemic (an overwhelming amount of information, including mis- and disinformation accompanying health emergencies), which became a joint area of work. Little did they know it would become an obsession to build an entirely new area of public health science and practice, with a disturbing amount of sparkles, rainbows and unicorns not usually found in emergency response work. The infodemic of love and emotion came for them too. (Groan.) For a special weekend in Crete, Greece and in Atlanta, Georgia, USA in September, join Tina and Lis and their extended family and friends in celebrating their international union. There will be food, dancing, glitter, joy and hugs too long delayed. RSVP today!
