It all started when Toby went online - and met Elisa's Dad! A close friendship blossomed over a shared love of the outdoors, books, black labs, and a raw sense of irony. Perhaps this was due to the fact that both were Army Officers; one American and one British. Fast forward a few years when they were all able to meet in person in London where Elisa was studying for her Master's. Friendship only grew stronger between our two families through the years, and was put to the test upon Jim's death in 2015. As life is too short, we both realized with all certainty that we belonged together. We knew we would cross oceans in order to be together forever.
