Elianna and Clayton's Story

Love at First Strike.

This is the story of Ellie and Clay and how they came to be. Before Elianna and Clayton met, they had been living life and enjoying what time they had left of High school. Both attended Lemon Bay High all four years of High school, but never knew about one another. Elianna first noticed Clayton in Junior year as the, “Jurassic Park Hoodie Guy”, since he did wear a Jurassic Park hoodie almost every day. Little did he know, those were her favorite movies! But if it wasn’t that hoodie, it was the backup, “Straight Outta Colorado”. What a style. Fast forward to Senior year, Clayton is no longer going to the Lemon Bay campus, but instead dual enrolled at CTC for HVAC and did Lemon Bay classes online. Elianna excels in school, getting all the A’s she can get and leaving the life of dating behind her. She even considered the military as a career, like her father who proudly served his country for 21 years. Senior year was still going strong. Both Elianna and Clayton, still unaware of what's going on in the other's life, wondered if it was time they should get serious and think about what life looks like after High School, besides college or work. Clayton, driving home from CTC one day, said a prayer, letting Jesus take the wheel (Ironic). Saying that if God had a plan for him to find the woman he was to marry, then let it be. “Your will Lord.” And whether it be coincidence or divine intervention, there was another asking for the same thing. Elianna had been praying the same thing! Little did they know, their stories were about to intertwine. Super Bowl LV, 2021 was just around the corner and in the works was the creation of a relationship that neither one could have expected to blossom as much as it did. Clayton, who had not long ago asked his friend, Mei-lee, if she knew a Jesus-Crazy gal that was looking for a Christ-following man. Low and behold, she knew one. So as she conversed with Elianna about Clayton, the door of opportunity was about to open for the man to make his move on the lady. Sometime had passed, no more than three days from when Clayton had sent his request to be Elianna’s friend on Instagram, just to see where things might lead… Alas, the moment had finally come, SUPER BOWL LV!! But also Elianna had accepted Clayton’s friend request on Instagram that same night!!! Little did Clayton know, Elianna had him on her mind ever since accepting that request. Throughout the next couple days, strange coincidences were happening. Coincidences like, Elianna having to run an envelope with Clayton’s gosh darn name on it for the school yearbook! Like what?! What kind of coincidence is that? After that night, she decided to take a chance and send him a text… After that, everything changed. Since that day, they haven’t stopped talking. Everyday since February 5th, 2021. Months go by (It felt like months...), Clayton asked Elianna to be his girlfriend on March 11, 2021. They finished out their last Highschool year together, went to Prom, Graduated! So I guess you could say they technically were Highschool sweethearts! One year goes by, and March 11th rolls back around, and a question had been brewing in Clayton’s mind. “Where are my keys?” Asked Clayton - wait what?! No no wrong question. -and a question had been brewing in Clayton’s mind, “I’m going to ask this woman to marry me.” Well… That’s not really a question, more of a statement, but that’s not the point! After one year of being together with Elianna, he knew for sure, in his heart and soul that if this woman wasn’t the one he was to marry, then there wasn’t one. So here we are! That pretty much wraps it up if I do say so myself. Well… I suppose we’ll see you all at the wedding! jusqu'à la prochaine fois!
