Four years ago, or something like that, Emma and Eli started to work together. We’ll skip the long not so lovey story, but within those four years, despite their best effort of denial and avoidance, two close friends became the best of friends and fell in love. September 17, 2019 during a long, hot and sweaty hike in Asheville, where Eli was suspiciously wearing pants, they stopped at a waterfall. While Emma stood under the water to cool off, she turned around to invite Eli to join but he was knelt on the rocks. Her first instinct was to see if he was ok, because a long hike can be tough on an old man and he appeared to have fallen. After what felt like minutes of him just staring at her while she did a wellness check, he pulled the most beautiful ring out of the pocket of his miserably hot pants. A lot of very kind words that will be kept between them were said; then he asked her if she will and she said yes. Eli went to hand Emma the ring and she instantly nagged that it was his job to place it on her finger. From that moment on, their relationship blossomed into a lifetime commitment of love and nagging.
