Matron of Honor
We first met at home-school Civil War Balls, I was there when her and her future husband met, was in their wedding and now can't wait for her to be the Matron of Honor in mine! Sarah resides in Minnesota with her amazing husband, Joel (who is also an Usher in our wedding), and her two adorable little twin boys, Owen and Liam. We can stay up all night talking, agree on nearly everything, and are so thankful that God has given us to each other as Best Friends!

Kaylee and I first met singing in Children's Choir when we were 5 years old. Even so, we didn't become friends until Kaylee started taking violin lessons from my mother and we took homeschool classes together, because when we were little, I was very loud and she was very quiet. Since our friendship has begun, we have laughed, cried and prayed together many times. One of my favorite seasons of life as a friend of Kaylee was watching her relationship begin with her now husband, Ty.

I met Annie in high school at homeschool classes. Annie is one of those people that I became instant friends with and felt like I had known my whole life from the day that we met. In high school, we planned the first ever Mid-Prairie homeschool prom, so of course planning weddings that are just one week apart is a breeze when we work together again! I am so blessed to have Annie as my friend and am so excited for her and her fiance, James, as they get married the weekend after us. Who knew when we met that very first day that we would bridesmaids in each other's weddings one week apart?!

Bekah and I have been friends for 16 years. We met while taking classes together with the Mid-Prairie HSAP. The first day that we got to play together, I remember Bekah being so excited that she squeezed my hand until it hurt all the way to her house. Since that day, we've been in dance classes, played Barbies, dreamed about our future husbands, talked, laughed and had many adventures together. As little girls, we even made up our own secret handshake and acronym for each other to express our special friendship, which was NJVBFFWS (Not Just Very Best Friends Forever, We're Sisters!). I was privileged to be in Bekah's wedding a year and a half ago and can't wait for her to be a part of our special day. Bekah resides with her husband, Isaac, and adorable puppy in North Liberty, Iowa.

Adria is definitely my longest standing friends to date and probably knows more random little facts about me than any other friend! We met at age 4 when our mother's became friends at our local Mother's of Preschoolers group. One of the saddest days of my life was when she moved with her family to Ottumwa, Iowa. Our friendship never died, as we wrote regular letters, made long phone calls, and had summer sleepovers at my house that lasted for a week at a time. Somehow Adria still enjoyed coming over to my house even when she was allergic to my cats, afraid of the crickets that snuck into our house, warm with our lack of air conditioning and caught the flu with me. Adria now resides with her daughter, Seliah, and son, Geoffery, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Thanks for being my friend, Adria!

Rachel and I met on my first day of Music Theory Class at Hesston College. Even though I dropped the class after a couple of weeks and chose to take it a different semester, we decided that God put us in the same class, because otherwise we may never have met and become friends. Our second year at Hesston we were next door neighbors and would spend multiple hours in each other's rooms talking, studying and just being plain silly from lack of sleep. We even decided to take a year off of school at the same time to work as associate teachers. I am so grateful for my friendship with Rachel and can't wait for her to be a part of my special day! Rachel resides in Kansas where she is finishing her Elementary Education degree at Tabor College.

Miss Celie Ann is very special to Jesse and I because not only is she Jesse's niece, but we developed a special relationship when I was one of her pre-school teachers at Mid-Prairie. One of the first people that we couldn't wait to tell about our relationship after we started dating was Celie. She didn't really like the idea of her Uncle Jesse and her Miss Eleya dating at first, but once she realized that she got to see more of both of us and was the only student in class who had Miss Eleya at her family gatherings, she warmed up to the idea. We at first were told that we were only allowed to date on Thursdays! Perhaps we'll be allowed to be married every day from now on! We love you, Miss Celie Ann Shetler.
