"Museums are not just for art!" — Ellie. Our journey started at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston on October 4th, 2019, in front of the Colossal statue of King Menkaura. In the era of online dating, it seems miraculous that such things as randomly meeting someone so perfect for each other in a romantic place like a museum still happen. I like to believe that it is meant to be by gods. In our case, Pharaon Menkaura, if you know what I mean ;) "They are also great pick-up spots," - Gavin. I decided to check out Friday night social at the MFA. I had heard that it was a fun way to take in some culture while enjoying cocktails. My friends that were supposed to go with me bailed at the last minute, so I was on my own. But as it turned out, I wouldn't be on my own for long that night or any night after. While walking around the museum, I observed the most beautiful work of art there. She wasn't in a frame or behind plated glass, but rather she was walking around the Egyptian wing of the museum. Gavin worked up the nerve to talk to her and said the first thing that came to mind. And from there, the rest was history.
