How We Met

First Impressions Amaze

Elaine was driving down the street when she saw a handsome young sir with his pant leg rolled up flagging down a ride, with said leg. She picked him up and the rest was history. No, seriously though...Match.com...There she was sitting on the bench in the vestibule at IHOP and the rest was history.

How He Asked - Part One

Say What?!

The only criteria was that it would be a COMPLETE surprise and boy did he deliver. Under the guise of buying an iPhone, Joe persuaded Elaine to come down to Bountiful for the evening. On the way to the store, Joe start driving very slowly and a car behind began to weave back and forth in a manner to look as if he was trying to pass. Which caused Elaine to question whether or not this was a case of road rage. Upon mentioning this to Joe, Joe turned into the IHOP parking lot with the other car following close behind. The driver of the car got out and approached the window to say, "Did you see what you did to my car back there? I need you to get out so I don't offend your little lady there." Joe left the car, while Elaine waited for the moment she needed to call the cops. Joe came back to ask Elaine to come out and examine the window shield that they were accused of cracking.

How He Asked - Part Two

Say That Again?!

Elaine was not happy with the interrupted trip to Verizon and did not appreciate the driver accusing Joe. And she expressed it passionately to the driver of the other vehicle. While in mid-sentence, the driver interrupted her by pointing to the side. She turned and there Joe was on bended knee, "Will you marry me?" Of course, she wanted to tell him, "Wait a moment, I need to finish my lecture", but she said yes! After giving Elaine a bouquet of roses, Joe explained that the driver was a brother of a brother-in-law and they left to celebrate with family.
