Neither the wedding venue nor our partner hotel Encinar de Sotogrande are located on the beach. Our wedding is in the Spanish hillside and hotel Encinar is located in between the hills and the beach. If your vacation before, during, or after the wedding will include some beach-time, we recommend Alcaidesa, Marbella, Benalmadena, Duquesa, and the many other incredible beach ports nearby. This would be a great idea before or after our wedding weekend.
This is a good idea. Public transport from the airport is a bit tricky. Taxis will be readily available but short drives around the coast will open up the Costa del Sol to you. And rentals are cheap!
Loads of options! Air BnB is of course a great resource and we recommend the town of Alcaidesa for massive and affordable villas. And a short taxi ride will get you to the buses for the wedding weekend, or straight to the venue if you prefer.
