Maid of Honor
Elanore is my second eldest sister. Naturally she's maid of honor with spreadsheets and google docs at the ready. Elanore is my go-to person for everything under the sun. She is there for me when I need advice about the real hard "adulting" stuff and for being so silly we cry from laughter. I love that we always know what the other is thinking and can have full blown conversations in "Friends" quotes. Thanks for being up there with me while I marry my lobster.
Best Man
Andrew is my cousin from the McEvoy side of the family. When we were younger, during the summers on Cape Cod, Andrew would often spend the weekend at my house. We'd hang out, play video games, and go boating together with my Dad. Andrew's presence at my house became so routine that my Dad started calling him "weekend son" and then "Wes" for short. During all those summer weekends Andrew was the big, sometimes clumsy, but always funny little brother that I never had. Now he is my Best Man.
Maid of Honor
Ryanne is my soon-to-be sister-in-law. I knew right away that I would mesh well with Ry! She gets me out of my comfort zone, encouraging me to be more social and open to the world. I'm inspired by her aspirations, intelligence, and insightfulness. She makes you want to be a better person and have fun doing it.
Groomsman
Jared is my cousin from my mom's side of the family. When we were younger, our moms owned a gymnastics school together, and our parents took turns looking after us and our sisters. That often meant that we were hanging out together at Tumble Time while one of our moms taught classes. During those times, we did gymnastics and played games together at summer camp. We had sleepovers at each other's houses, long sunny days at Old Silver Beach, and occasionally our whole gang would pile into a car and spend a day shopping at the mall. We've both grown up a lot since those days, but I look back on those memories with a lot of nostalgia and think of Jared as the other younger brother I never had.
Bridesmaid
I am so proud to have such a cool big sister. The life she has lived is awe-inspiring and trail-blazing (sometimes literally!). She's the definition of adventurous and brave. She challenges me to be strong, compassionate, and humble to the world and those who live in it. I look up to her as my guide to being a better human being.
Groomsman
Andrew is Elaine's cousin from the Ferrara/Dennis side of the family. Everyone says that he gives the best hugs and they're not wrong. With his witty sense of humor, Andrew has a special talent for making the people around him feel like they're a welcome part of the group. Andrew is the kind of person who ensures that everyone around him is always having a good time. I know he will be doing just that on my wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Emily is my baby sister (who is not a baby anymore!). Yet, I still act like an overprotective big sister towards her. Though she took over my cushy spot as the youngest child, she's brought this family so much love and joy with her golden locks of sun-kissed hair. She is so carefree, positive, and open-minded that as a big sister, I can't help but be so impressed and proud of her.
Groomsman
Jack and I actually met on his wedding day. He married Elaine's cousin Shannon and their wedding was my first introduction to the Dennis side of Elaine's family. Back then, I had just graduated from college and started working at my first job. Marriage wasn’t really on my mind at the time, but watching Jack and Shannon take their vows got me imagining how my own wedding would be one day. That small thought grew, and a few years later, I found myself taking a knee in Alaska. Jack is a great guy who inspires the people around him to have fun and be themselves. I'm very happy to have him by my side on my wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Sam is one of my best friends from college. She makes being a female in your 20's a whole lot easier. I am so fortunate that we both went through RIT together and somehow both ended up in Boston, too. She is my go-to person for ultrasound talk, de-stressing about life, and reminding me that I am not alone in my thoughts and feelings. She's taught me a lot about being myself and being proud of the little things.
Groomsman
Andrew is one of my best friends from college. We met because our girlfriends' were in the same program at RIT. We quickly realized that we had a lot in common. We both work with computers, grew up playing hockey, and love playing video games. At RIT, we played hockey together and actually won a championship in a small, but competitive intramural league. Since graduating, we've managed to keep in touch, even when living in different states. Andrew is a great guy and I'm happy to have him standing with me on my wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Taylor is practically my fourth sister. We grew up together and have stayed close all through middle school, high school, college, and now adulthood, even while living in different states. She understands me the way only girls who have been friends since sixth grade can. I can be my true, unrefined self around her and she won't bat an eye. I honestly don't know what I would do without this girl. She keeps me grounded.
Groomsman
Andrew is Elaine's cousin from the Drago side of the Family. When Andrew and I first met, I had already met his brothers. Daniel and David were both loud, boisterous, and extremely friendly, but I could tell that Andrew was a bit more reserved like me. In big rooms full of people, we don’t try to be the center of attention, but when you approach us for a conversation, we usually have a lot to say. Andrew encourages the people around him to relax and enjoy themselves. I'm so happy to have him standing beside me on my wedding day.
Ceremony Harpist
Anna has been my friend since the sixth grade. She is inspirational and beautiful in every way. We share memories and stories that are only funny to us and which only get funnier when we stay up late reminiscing. She is a busy bee and it is hard to get her to stay in one place for long, but when we catch up it is as though no time has passed. And lucky for me she's an amazing harpist on top of being a life-long friend.
Officiant
Family means the world to both of us, so we thought it would only be fitting to have one of our family members be the person to marry us. We could think of no better person to fill this role than Elaine's cousin David. Dave is a smart, funny and charismatic guy that breathes energy into every family gathering he attends. We've been close to Dave since the beginning of our relationship and we're thrilled to have him lead us into the next step of our lives as a married couple.
