FAQs

The Wedding Website of Eileen McGonigal and Jack Pellinen
Question

By what appointed date and hour should I RSVP?

Answer

Please let us know your plans for attendance by June 15th, 2024 so that we can shore up plans.

Question

Is this a wedding?

Answer

No. Jack and Eileen got married on September 15, 2023. We had a very small wedding; our dog Olivia was the ring-bearer. It was a disaster (she rolled over on her back and wouldn't give us the rings). We wish to now celebrate with family and friends who will hopefully stay upright, the whole time.

Question

Well what the heck is this, then?

Answer

This is our celebration with those who are dear to us. We have joined our lives together for ever after, and want to have an event to represent and celebrate that.

Question

What accommodations are available, in such a remote, desolate place?

Answer

Shores of Leech Lake does have several cottages that we have reserved, though space is limited. If you are able to join us, and planning to stay overnight, please indicate this in your RSVP and contact us to check on availability.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We recommend semi-formal for the ceremony and reception, however, this is not required. All other events are free of dress code, but bear in mind September in Minnesota can be mildly chilly.

Question

What weather should we expect?

Answer

September in Northern Minnesota can be tricky. Plan on a range of temperatures (something between 40-70 degrees), with either sunshine or light snow. Wind is likely.
